Last month while out on a hiking adventure, my guide, Victor, shared a simple, yet profound message that has been lingering in my mind ever since.
As we walked, we were discussing life and death, and how important it was to appreciate each day and to live more in the present.
As we reached a beautiful lookout point, he stopped, looked at me, and said
Hay mas tiempo que la vida!
which translates to “There is more time than life.”
I let it sink in for a minute.
Then I began to reflect on what it meant to me.
It reminded me of just how finite our lives really are.
That there is a beginning and there will be an end. Just as it has been for my ancestors and loved ones that lived before me.
Time is infinite and will continue to move on after we are long gone and we can never really know how much time we have in this physical form on this planet.
Some people experience long lives while others are only meant to be here for a short time. The question is, what are you going to do with the time you have?
Ten months ago, I experienced being next to my partner Tania, as she took her last breath.
Although her life was cut short, her impact, teachings and legacy will continue to live on forever.
For me, it was a very profound moment, like none I have ever experienced.
It was impactful for me as it forced me to examine my own life and what I am here to do.
It also humbled me to just how precious each day is and inspired me to question how I want to show up for each day and what impact I want to make on the planet with the time I have left.
Today, I am alive and breathing knowing I have much more to experience and to learn. More to teach and share with others about how to discover their true genius and how to become masters of their lives.
Each of us has within us a mission and a message.
Perhaps it’s time to connect to it, clarify it and start putting into action ways to share it.
"How?" is a common question that tends to show up right about this point in the conversation.
I'm sharing an approach to resolving just that in October -
A free livestream for anyone who wants to upgrade their own approach to navigating change & challenge, like a boss.
I like to remind myself, and others, to never underestimate the impact you have on others by just showing up and being you.
Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery, but for sure, right now, we have this moment. Appreciate each day and embrace the opportunity to shine your light on the world.
Love and gratitude,
