On purpose, Off purpose

Updated: Sep 3, 2021

I have been asked many times,

“How do you know if you are living on-mission/purpose vs. being off mission/purpose?”

The truth is, there will be times when you will feel inspired, on purpose and energized about life and then there will be times when you feel lost, stuck, down and confused. That’s the natural flow of life. Do not fall into the illusion that you will always have clarity about your direction in life and will always feel “on purpose”. In fact, you are never really “off” purpose. You simply have times when you are not recognizing that everything you are experiencing in the moment is a part of the divine order of your life. No Mistakes. Just lessons. So, feeling off or on purpose will depend on how you are perceiving your life.

At times, you may perceive that things are not going your way. Your life is “off”. You have made mistakes. Someone has hurt you. You feel regret, guilt and or shame about your past or have anxiety and fear about your future.

In this state, you will more than likely feel down. angry, depressed, confused and off purpose. You will require outside motivation to act. Your physical body may give you feedback in the form of pain, discomfort, fatigue, tension, digestive issues, blood pressure problems, headaches, insomnia, etc. Your body's symptoms are simply feedbacks to help wake you up to the opportunity to see the perfection of life.

When you see a balanced perspective of life, where all events are neutral, and you appreciate the lessons and blessings in the events of your life. Your energy begins to shift, and you start to show up differently. You are driven by inspiration from within and require no outside motivation to act.

You may feel more relaxed, confident and certain about yourself. Your physiology becomes more balanced, and you start to look and feel different. You may feel younger, have more energy, vitality and stamina. You become more magnetic. You are at the right place at the right time. You are not cocky, elated or self-righteous. You are simply present, in flow and tapped into your higher self.

Recognize it, Embrace it, Appreciate it.

And then, inevitably, challenges will cycle back again at the next perfect time. When you can learn to remain poised throughout life ebbs and flows, you begin to become a master over your emotions and your life.

It’s important to pause to take time and check in with yourself about how you are feeling emotionally and physically.

The clearer you are on yourself and your mission, the less physical and emotional volatility you will have, This can result in less massive swings of ups/downs and highs/lows. Instead, you can enjoy less volatility with more stability and flow throughout your day-to-day life.

You start to see that everything you experience is actually ON the way and not IN the way!

You got this!
